Guvernatorul Greg Abbott a ordonat Gărzii Naționale să intervină și să construiască de urgență un gard de sârmă ghimpată.
În paralel, a început arestarea tuturor imigranților ilegali.

Pe de altă parte, Curtea Supremă a SUA a decis la începutul săptămânii că Poliția de Frontieră federală a lui Biden are dreptul să demonteze gardul construit de Texas.
